A beautiful, no-BS wallet app
Selene Wallet is a self-custodial, open source, BCH-only mobile wallet that emphasizes a simple and accessible user experience without compromising on features that power users expect. We designed Selene Wallet with the goal of allowing anybody to go from zero-to-BCH-user as seamlessly as possible. Once a new BCH user is onboarded, the wallet can teach them what they need to know along the way!
Only have 60 seconds to teach someone about Bitcoin Cash? Point them to Selene Wallet. The app downloads in seconds (<10MB), and you can send them some BCH the moment they open the app for the first time. They’ll receive it instantly, and be amazed at the incredible speed and low barrier to entry! We aim to deliver a BCH experience that FEELS good, not just for seasoned BCH veterans, but also for people who are experiencing cryptocurrency for the first time.
Our long-term vision for Selene Wallet is to provide the necessary tools that allow BCH to grow into the global reserve currency. First, 10,000,000 daily active users, then the whole world!
Flipstarter Target: 270 BCH
Launched in May 2023
We couldn’t have asked for a more successful launch in May 2023. The response to our initial release has been overwhelmingly positive, and over the past 9 months, we’ve been hard at work integrating user feedback and making improvements. Now, in order to continue delivering a high quality product, we’re asking the community to help us reach the next phase of growth and development for our budding enterprise.
Current Roadmap / 2024 Deliverables
With a monthly release cadence, we are targeting these major deliverables for the rest of 2024:

Cost Breakdown
(12 months of funding)
We believe that Proof of Work is the best way to demonstrate value and commitment to the community and we hope the community believes the same. Selene Wallet is available for download today on both iOS and Android and is completely open source. We hope that in terms of quality and commitment, our product and support speaks for themselves.
The 270 BCH target directly funds further development of the Selene platform with a detailed breakdown of costs below:
235 BCH | Development Compensation:
In Kallisti’s local area, developers with similar experience have yearly compensation within the $118-134k range. Discounting the median value by 44% results in a new value of $70,500. Given the heavy fluctuation of BCH’s price in recent markets, and with an intent to hedge a significant portion of these funds to ensure stability, we are assuming a price of $300 per coin. The discounted compensation at $300 per coin nets to 235 BCH, to be split between Kallisti and Jeremy.
35 BCH | Development Expenses:
Hardware:
- 3 BCH | Modern iPhone
- 1.5 BCH | Semi-modern iPhone
- 1.25 BCH | Refurbished base model iPad
- 2 BCH | Miscellaneous Android devices
Infrastructure:
- 11 BCH | Bare metal server
Administrative:
- 1.25 BCH | Michigan registration fees
- 0.3 BCH | Google Play / Apple App Store developer fees
- 4 BCH | Phone, mail, internet services
Merchandise:
- 2.5 BCH | 100 shirts (20 of each size)
- 2.5 BCH | Other merch including hats, hoodies, etc.
Miscellaneous:
- 5.7 BCH | Additional items and unforeseen expenses that may come up over the next year
Expected Travel:
